I've got blueberry muffins in the oven right now! A very summery recipe, even though it's quite cold and rainy this week. One of the last gasps of winter before the weather gets steadily and reliably warmer! This will be my first full summer on the top floor of this A/C-less house. I'm a little worried about the heat.

Life has been chaotic lately. I found out that my SNRI dose was too high, and I am overall doing better on the lower dose, but my energy/motivation problems have gotten a little worse again. That might be due to the fact that things are still not really moving, re: my life plan for the next years, because of bureaucracy, and I am tiiired. I hate not knowing when or how stuff will happen.

The Artemis II crew has returned safely from their historic trip around the Moon!!! I'd been planning to live-blog the whole experience here, but alas. It's been a long time since I've been this hyped for a news-worthy thing, and from what others around the world are saying, I'm far from the only one. <3

Related: My roommate and I watched Project Hail Mary 2 days ago and I'm still in shock about how fantastic it was. What a marvelous adaptation, ode to the best of humanity, source of hope and delight, etc. etc.! My goodness. I cried multiple times in the theater.

I have finished my very first hand-knitted sweater!!1one I've been knitting since 2017 and it took me this long, haha, but I'm really happy with how my firstborn baby turned out. I used the Raglano pattern by Nicola Susen: photo )

Also still writing Heated Rivalry fanfics! I need to make a fic update post here to share all the things I've been working on. :D

Reader, I did not have the energy for the queer meet-up. I may be PMS-ing. Boo! But I did have a wonderful Discord date with my girlfriend! <3

NASA's Artemis II mission could be underway sooner rather than later. The SLS has arrived safely at the launch pad. There'll be a "wet" dress rehearsal on Monday, starting at 9pm EST (that's 3am for me). I'm tempted to stay up, but I truly shouldn't, and I'll just try to get up super early the next morning to catch as much of it as I can.

Based on the results, humans could be on the way back to the Moon as early as February 8. I have a thing on February 7, so I sort of hope it'll happen a bit later, because I want to be glued to livestreams when that beautiful rocket takes off!

In the meantime I am fully drowning in Heated Rivalry feelings. They are all-consuming. I adore Ilya so much it hurts, and Shane too but in a slightly different way! I'm swimming through various AO3 tags while filtering for their ship & enjoying myself so much. A few of my friends are actually writing Hollanov fanfic too and I'm trying to be encouraging but not overwhelming about it. :D (Anyone needs a beta or cheer-reader, hit me up.)

(My friend who hasn't seen HR yet wants to meet up to do a marathon next Sunday. Eeeee!! However, I may need to watch Artemis II! But whatever happens, I'm going to have an awesome February 8 lol.)

Today I went on an epic quest to procure a printed version of War and Peace that took me about 3 hours, because whichever legends you may have heard about German public transport being super efficient and punctual, they are not true and haven't been since the 1980s. And I forgot my damn headphones. /o\ But I've successfully picked up the book, which is massive enough to kill small creatures when dropped from a standing height.
