To-do lists & DS9
Jan. 8th, 2022 01:42 pmYou know that feeling when RL stresses you out even though nothing is happening? Yeah. It might just be PMS, which I hope it is, but I've felt a bit overwhelmed for a while now and I'm hoping I can make it go away by slowly and steadily crossing things off my long, long to-do list. I just finished hemming a curtain, which has been languishing on said to-do list for ages, and omg, that serotonin boost of getting things done, how I've missed it!
I just spent the past ~2 hours listening to The Magnus Archives while rearranging my bookshelf. It looks much tidier now and I can find things more easily, plus I got rid of a bunch of old crap. 2022 is yet another year in which I will try to finish TMA, and I've started at S2 again to get back into the story.I finally want to read, and perhaps write, Jon/Martin fanfic, damn it.
Crafting-wise, I'm still knitting, though I'm doing my best to slow down and not strain myself (I've been having some hand/wrist issues for the past couple of months, 0/10 would not recommend). My perpetually-unfinished blue viscose sweater is stuck on Sleeve Island--I somehow decided I was going to make balloon sleeves and that's a lot of fabric I have to knit! It's going to be worth it in the end, I hope.
Another year of
getyourwordsout is looming™ ahead, and I've set myself the somewhat unrealistic lofty goal of 500k. I'm not at all sure if I can accomplish this, or even come close, but I did 350k in 2021, which went so smoothly that my gremlin brain has decided it wants a challenge. :'D My reasoning is, even if I don't write 500k in total, this will likely push me to produce more words than last year.
