You guys, I've started watching The Witcher on Netflix and just!!! WOW. (Medium spoilers ahead throughout this post.) I won't deny that the show has some problems, and as someone who's never read the books or played the games, I have felt Very Fucking Confused several times.

But oh, God, the CHEMISTRY between Geralt of Rivia and Jaskier the bard. I'm sorry, but that's 100% enough for me to dive headfirst into the show. They're fucking brilliant & I love them with my whole heart. ♥

I've watched til 1x05 now! I... have to admit I'm not fond of the budding Geralt/Yennefer romance yet, but I know I'd better get used to it if I ever want to peruse the books or play the games. :'D I haven't read any fanfics either, because I want to write my own with an unbiased mind. I've got, let's see... four WIPs in total so far & I'm trying hard not to amass any more until I've made some progress on those.

I'm really looking forward to watching the rest of S1! I'm trying to hold off for a while though, to give myself time to make some progress on these WIPs before the next round of plot bunnies hits me.

Other than that, my roommate & I watched all 3 Lord of the Rings movies as per our Christmas tradition, so I've been reading some Gimli/Legolas fics. A lot of them also involve Bagginshield, which is a ship I love as well, but... I find myself preferring the purely Gigolas fics for now.
